E.N.:
“SET was to be a museum/mausoleum
of six books.
One was about the inhabitants
of The House of [my] Emotions,
or my psyche.
Another was to be called Wind,
but I didn’t work on that one
very much.
Another had the name
of a language I invented;
it was kind of dark.
Another book was
about, perhaps, nothingness.
It was about a universe with
the name of ! or |.
The fifth book was
non-fiction about
my life and
beliefs during an
interesting time.
And the last book
is labyrinth—not really a title
so much as a label,
for the thing really is
a labyrinth.
Much of it focuses on three characters
at different times in
their lives.
I worked on this the
most, by far.
You can read some of
labyrinth below.
Also, ‘set’ is the word for
‘six’ in—
is it Iriscandescentmyaaloslioun?
That’s a language from
labyrinth.”
